Page 10 of the manual at the following link gives some tips.

If you can't make it work, contact Axiom and tell them you want the wired M100 - if that works for your space.

Thank mojo. I hope i can covert them to pasive speakers. Like M100 wire.

I will contact with them. Happy new years

They are already passive in that they have an analog cross-over. You can't convert them to wired. Also remember, they come with a built-in 600W amplifier. If you go wired, to get the same dynamic performance, you will need an ADA 1500-2 amplifier. If you go this route, you may want to consider the 1250-2 amplifier and save some money. Or the 1000-2 that I used with my M100 for my 4200 cu. ft. room.

If you want active speakers, you can tell Axiom you want to upgrade to the active LFR1100. I had M100 and upgraded to active LFRs. They are on a different level. If you go this route, I recommend dual 1250-5 amplifiers.

If you go active, Axiom can also make the 10 cables you will need to your custom length. They come coded so you don't mix up the connections.

For thee, my Lord, for thee
Active sound power hath descended forth from Thy hands
Our ears-brains swiftly carry out Thy commands
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee

Andycap,

Maybe tell us a bit more about your setup….

First off I’d say there has to be a reason and a subsequent solution for the signal dropping. Axiom will need to assist with that. But if you’re fed up and dont want to keep them….

Did you just get it? 30 day return applies ?
Is it still returnable ?
Or is it still with in 2 year warranty?

The trade in value if it’s past 2 years will still be pretty reasonable and you could upgrade or side grade to standard passives.

In terms of an amp, I’ve been using the ZA-1000 which is the integrated version of the ADA-1000 and I’d say go a bit bigger to an ADA-1250-2 for more dynamic headroom. A 1500 would be even better.

I’ve found the more power behind Axiom speakers the better. And it’s not so much about “cranking it” that helps, but in terms of dynamics at all volume levels especially at the comfortably loud levels. It’s very pleasing to not experience any fatigue.

No matter what you decide rest assured you’ve got a nice system and great speakers. They just need a little help it sounds like.

And yes, Mojo is afflicted with upgrade issues but overall he means well is generally correct. And has travelled the upgrade road. But ALFRs are not a panacea for every problem or nuance. But it would be a nice upgrade….

If I am reading this correctly, you are losing audio for short periods (seconds) on a particular channel several times during the song. My M3 wireless suffer from the same issue, but placement of the receiver, speakers and source all seem to play a part in this. Check the signal strength in the locations of the receiver and speakers and make sure you do not have anything that could interrupt electrical supply.

While I have been supporting Axiom since the late 1980's, believe their products are great value, the wireless speakers are not something I can recommend. I provided a few suggestions to Ian and the Andrews about improving the product - a few which they adopted. There is an upgrade to the firmware for the speakers which may also help.

Andy, it's great to hear your wireless problem is solved.

The M100 is a very good speaker. If you can position them properly in your room, you will be rewarded with a very wide, tall and deep soundstage, with appropriately large instruments and voices that are in focus. Voices and instruments sound very real.

In my room, they were 12 feet apart, and I sat 14 feet away. The backs of the speakers were 2 feet away from the wall.

If your room is smaller, you may need to plug some of the ports to prevent the bass from over-powering the space.

Even though I am in a 4200 cubic foot room, I had to use Audyssey XT32 to tame them.

If you want to sell them, they go for $US6400 on the Axiom site.

Thank mojo. I have too much speakers. I think it not my taste. I just want 700-800$ for sold them. But it rare and not too many fan. It not easy for sale.

You are very generous and will make someone very happy.
Will you ship them? I may know someone interested in them.
Posted By: Kodiak Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/03/23 08:58 PM
Already asked him on Private message. No shipping. They are listed on USA Audio Mart for $1000, carry away pickup only.
Bummer. Thanks for the update though.

That price will sell. My threshold for considering a used consumer product is 20 cents on the dollar. I continue to use some like-new products that have a long duty cycle ahead of it.

Try to hear that few day. Sound is really good when pair them with pre amp anthem 50v. Sound great.
Posted By: Mojo Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/03/23 10:41 PM
Anh, you have to move them away from the front wall and sit 8 feet or more away. I had them 12 feet apart and sat 14 feet away. I could "see" all the images on a large sound stage.

Someone will get audiophile-class speakers and amplification on the cheap!

I might drive to Michigan……and pick them up.

I can tag along as your Axiom consultant.

I have 3 of them 1 broke cabinet on top when ship. 2 receiver i can give you all if you pick up them.

Cool! Tyler, you can use the third one as a center!!

If two transmitters are going at once, is it twice as good or similarly good as one transmitter?
Posted By: Andycap83 Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/04/23 03:15 AM
Actually i didnt try it with 2 transmitters at same time.
Posted By: Kodiak Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/04/23 04:20 AM
Hey Andy. Just so we are clear , I’m joking about driving. I live very very far away.

I wish I lived closer. frown

Anh, for God's sake! Don't turn both on at once. There's no telling what might happen. Cats and dogs might start living together.

It's actually best Kodiak and I don't go on a road trip. His old lady would have to bail us out.
Posted By: Kodiak Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/04/23 05:01 AM
We were somewhere around Barstow…..

Yeah. She’d have to bail us out. But she’d be more pissed about ANOTHER pair of speakers then the bail.

I will let them go 800$ or keep for surround speakers. Anyone want them please let me know. Thank
Posted By: Mojo Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/05/23 05:31 PM
The M100 wireless crosses its mids at 160 Hz and tweets at 2.2 KHz vs. 200 Hz and 2 KHz for the wired version. The listening window, sound power and impedance curves are the same for wired and wireless which can't possibly be given the cross-over changes.

Andrew spent a lot of time figuring out the cabinet resonances, bracing and ports for the M100 wired. Given Anh's dislike for his wireless M100, the changed cross-over, the lack of a different family of curves, I wonder if Axiom acoustically engineered the wireless version or if it just threw in a 600W amp and the Air receiver and hoped for the best.

What i know when looking inside. It have crossover with bi wire like m100 just connect with 600w mono amp. I will try regular amp with broken speaker i have
Posted By: Mojo Re: Axiom M100 wireless power intermission - 01/06/23 01:59 PM
According to Ian, the cross-over between wired and wireless is the same. Which means the cross-over points on the product page are wrong.
