I'm looking at getting a clock radio for my girlfriend, and I really like the looks and reviews I've read.

I heard it, and it was surprisingly half decent for a clock radio. So, given the choices, why not.

That's definately one of the coolest clock radios I've ever seen, but $200 for a clock radio? Will she appreciate that sort of gift?

Personally all I ever use my clock radio for is to slap at the snooze button in a half sleep stupor. $20 is good enough for that. If this would be her only source of music, then yeah, why not?

Yeah, $200 is pricey... but she was originally asking for the Bose Wave Radio.... makes this look like a bargain!! Another thing I thought was cool is that you can add a 2nd speaker (for stereo) and a subwoofer later on. I think with all those extras, it's still cheaper than the Bose, and from what I've read, sounds tons better.

She *really* likes waking up to NPR, and her clock radio broke a while ago. I'm really hesitant to put up that kind of cash for a mono clock radio, though - as you can imagine

We were just talking about these radios on another forum, general feeling is that the sound is excellent. The fact that they have such classy looks is another plus.

Ive heard peoples opinions on it. they all liked it. id say its a good choice! you can always return it if you dont like it. but i dont see why you wouldnt.

Although the price may seem steep, you are getting a quality product from Tivoli.

One thing many people overlook when looking at their radios is the fact that the TUNER in those things is incredibly good, better than most HT and stereo receivers!

I have the "PAL" portable radio from Tivoli, and it gets used constantly in my apartment. Their radios have this very warm sound which makes it very pleasant to listen to people talking on the radio. One of my main uses for the radio is listening to NPR!

I've always said, "the only thing better than Bose, is anything!"
