I installed my Epic 80 system at Christmas, but am having trouble getting the bass out of "my head"...litterally. It seems that no matter what the adjustment, room position or bass levels, the bass is High up physically in your head, and this gets tiring My Kenwood sub puts the bass in your belly where it seems it should be...the bass drum in the parade feeling.

Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

I cant help you with your question, sounds more to me like your used to being able to feel it instead of hear it but i'll leave it up to the HT guys to awnser.

One of the unwritten rules in online forums though is that you should not post the same question in multiple forums. but your new so you probbly didnt know. im sure everyone here reads all the forums so your question would get awsnerd just as many times in one forum than in multiple.

try placing the subwoofer where you sit and then walk (or crawl ) around the room and see where it sounds 'best'. Thats where you should place the sub.

sounds silly but it does work.

I'm presumming that your speakers are set to "small".

i did the subcrawl w/ my VTF2 and got great results. I had to opt for the 2nd best position because the best position was directly in the hallway...
