I trust the Axioms are acceptional speakers, but I'd like to see how they stack up to my Vienna Acoustics.

Should I favor the Vienna's over the Axioms, what sort of shipping costs would I expect to pay to send the M60's back?

Thanks

I kept mine, so I wouldn't know - but you could email Amie, she'd likely know exactly. (amie@axiomaudio.com)

Believe me, at these prices, I'd LOVE to keep these... and they're probably just as good as the Vienna's... I'm hoping they're better =P

Good advice! Much appreciated

You could expect the return package to weigh in at least 100 lbs. The M60s each weigh 47 lbs. each. Factor in packaging (which they come in, and which can be re-used for the retun trip,) and you're probably talking more like 125 lbs.

SO, then it depends on how you want to ship it and from where you'll be shipping it. Check out ups.com, fedex.com and usps.com for that information. You'd be in the best position to figure out how much this would cost.

As I recall (from shipping back my vp100 for a vp150) they prefer you ship via USPS instead. It's pretty cheap.

The exact shipping weight for the M60s is 117.2lbs.
Hope this helps.
However, I dont think you'll be shipping them back.
I just got mine yesterday, and I know exactly where theyre staying.
I am finding diffucult to ship the M22s back though.

bray,

I have M60's for fronts and M22's for rears...If you have a 7.1 reciever you could always use the M22's for rears to go with the QS8's...

I wish I could do that, but I've been watching my bank account dwindle, since I dicovered all this new sound.
Anyway, I've got to save some for more music, sacd player, new hdtv, (the sound from my new speakers make my old tv look like doodoo)

I disagree - I think, contrary to this theory - the new sound will draw you further into the experience and may negate some of what might have been lacking in your system. That said, definitely make sure you save where you need to get that big-a$$ HDTV you want - but don't be so hasty that you skimp on the sound-side of things. Debatably, I think that it comprises around 60% or more of the home theater experience.

Now, I know you were just talking in generalities about the things you need to buy, and I see you've already got the QS8s and a center, and probably don't need the 22s now. But you'd probably be surprised at how easily we can become accustomed and adjust to the size of the screen and let it consume us - whereas with sound, the illusion is much less easily accomplished, and it is harder to fake enveloping/consuming sound than to be drawn into a smaller set and forget you're watching VHS quality on a 19" screen.

Really I'm just saying, that I would like a better tv to go with the "new" great sound I'm getting from my new speakers. I would like to have a wide screen and since my new h/k is only 5.1 anyway I think the money would be better spent on a new tv.

did that make any sence??? after reading it, i'm not sure.

Of course it did. And I think that your making a very fine decision. I wasn't really advising that you keep all of your speakers. I was more just commenting on our easier ability to become "hypnotized" by less than perfect video - whereas the effect is much less convincing when it comes to sound.

I have M60's, VP150, and QS8's....

and I really do need a TV, damn 24"

My speakers dwarf the TV it's pitiiful.
