Hi,
I was just wondering if most here mounted their QS8's with the supplied bracket or with a FMB? I heard space is tight in behind the supplied bracket that is why I ask. That and the fact that the QS8's by their nature don't need to be rotated or aimed just hanging flat along the wall correct?
Thanks,
Mike
They do not require the FMB. I would expect to use a bare wire connection on them if you go with the supplied bracket though. If you are hellbent on bananas or spades, You may want the FMB although I'm not sure that frees up the necessary space. Maybe someone else can speak to this.
by the way - how far apart are teh screw holes on the QS8 T brackets?
Just checked it out. The "T" is roughly like this:
-=-----=-
......|
......|
(ignore the .'s, I needed them for spacing.)
The top part is 9" across, the "=" representing the hooks where the speaker hangs. The center of the T extends 4" down, and the metal itself is .75" wide. This makes the dimensions 9" x 4.75". There are 5 holes spaced at 2" intervals across the top, and 3 holes (including the center hole in the top) spaced at 2" intervals down the center part.
I hope that makes sense.
good diagram ringmir.. good explanation..
i could almost see the T-bracket in my hand as i read it!!

There is a link on this page that has a picture of the bracket used with the QS8. Look on the right side for the link that says
bracket. Hope that helps.
muchas gracis, amigos. That is a big help... I've got a unique mounting idea that required this info. As always - thanks for the prompt response. And yes, your diagram and explanation were very easy to follow and gave me the exact info that I needed.
cheers.
