Greetings,
Looking for a little advice. I have a 15' by 15' room (hardwood floors). I was just curious as to what Axiom floorstanding speakers people with comparable rooms were using...thanks
nick
My room is a little bigger and I'm running M60s. I started with the M22s, but only because I could and didnt want to wonder "what if", I upgraded to the m60s. I was very pleased with the 22s but am more pleased with the 60s.
How far back would you be sitting from the speakers? How far apart would the speakers be?
I've got about 8.5 feet between myself and the speakers...and I could place them about 6.5 feet apart...
thanks
That room is quite small, and you're not all that far away. I'd say get the M22ti's and a nice subwoofer. That'll give you super clean sound and nice depth (with the sub) If you want a tad mellower, opt for the M3ti's.
If you were in a larger room, I'd say the M50's if you like a more laid back sound, or the M60's if you like a clean, detailed sound. But sitting that close, I honestly think it'd be a waste of your money to get towers.
It all depends on if this is a rental or your home. If it is a rental, go big because it sucks to have to upgrade when you move into something bigger.
Shame on you! Upgrading is half the fun of this hobby!
That is a valid point though. Though you could always move the M22's into the bedroom if you ever needed to upsize to M60's in a different living room.
I have a room the same size, with hardwood floors and a rug.
There is an opening in the room where someday French Doors might be.
I bought the M22s but upgraded after a week to the M60s. The M22s were fantastic - so much detail. The M60s are fantastic - so much detail but with the ability to go really loud. :-)
Logically: M22's
Geeky: M60's
My speakers are about 7 apart, and I'm about 10' back, and I have m60's, but I have QS8's, a VP150, and a SVS PB2-Plus so don't listen to me.
I have enough system for a 30' x 30' room, and yet it's in a 20' x 14' room (10' x 14' space :P)

I think it's everyone goal to have a system that is in a 20 x 14 yet fills a 30 x 30.
