I found these on sale while I was doing some browsing.

I'm not one for high end cables, but I have a pair of these that came free with my ICBM and I must say that they are rather nice. Just thought I'd pass on the work.

Have you ever tried passing a digital signal through them by chance? Using one as a digital coax connection?

Umm....no I haven't. What brings about that question?

It's a real easy way to jude how good of a cable they use. I was thinking about trying a couple but if it can't pass a digital signal, I won't bother.

Hey, Bren, you got that article on the coat hanger?

You guys can take your articles.............and well you get the rest!

you're thinking of JohnK.

Ken, as you know I hate to be repetitive on matters which merely illustrate fundamental audio principles, but since you insist, here's the thread in which I discussed this with Bren. With no extra charge I'll add the rather informal but nevertheless informative discussion on analog and digital connects by Steve Lampen, Belden Cable engineer who often represents the company at conferences.

Fine, but at least you could read them!

Here's an interesting one.

It makes more sense if you believe in cables making a difference to test how analog signals go through them; they have to do a lot more with that (vary amplitude, frequency, etc.)

Very good, Ken. If we took those wire coat hangers and covered them with Techflex, what do you think, maybe $1,000 for 3 feet?

You guys are giving me a headache.

Here's some marketing info for techflex-clad coathangers:

Did you know that flexible audio interconnects can make your system sound flaccid? It's time to dump a little Viagra into your system with these revolutionary new Stiffie-Wires!

Yes Peter, it could be pointed out that it was scientifically proven that they're "up" to the job.

Does it take any longer for coat hangers to break in?
Posted By: JohnK Re: Anyone in Need of Interconnects... - 10/12/04 03:01 AM
Ray, tests show that the stiffer it is, the better it works; so no break-in whatever is needed.

Maybe someone should try an I beam with RCAs on the end. Thicker and stiffer must be better!

AMEN to that!
