Do expensive, high end cables make a difference in the way your system sounds?

The idea here is to just put in your vote without lobbying your position and thereby intimidating those who hold a different one. We're not looking to start the age old debate, so it would be appreciated if you didn't even post. Neither side is gonna talk the other side out of their beliefs, anyway. You, or course, are free to post if you wish. No censorship here.

The poll is completely non-scientific, and since many of you will probably vote more than once, it isn't really gonna prove anything. So, cool your jets, and just have a good time.

I voted for it before I voted against it.
Do you work at the Waffle House flip flop flip flop
What are you getting at? Stop beating around the Bush.

That means you voted twice. I KNEW you'd be one of those that would vote more than once. And don't tell me that those two votes cancel each other. I'll bet you voted more than just twice, you cheater, you.
I'm not kidding when I say I think much like Kerry does. When it comes to this question, I have to ask, What do you consider "high end"?

To me "high end" would be a pair of interconnects that cost over $100. To others "high end" doesn't begin until you reach the $1000 mark, where to someone else anything above and beyond the freebie that comes with your new $59 dvd player is "high end".

So...the question isn't clear enough.

I'll leave you with this. If you spend more than $75 on a pair of interconnects or over $150 on a pair of speaker cables I think you only fooling yourself, and somebody is laughing all the way to the bank.

Spiff,

It's a non-scientific, all in fun poll. Whatever you consider to be "expensive, high end" will do just fine, whether it's $50, $75, $100 or more.
Hello Jack, how are you? All's well I hope.

I voted no, they don't, however I think the real answer (IMO) is that it depends.

I've had higher end cables that did, and I've had higher end cables that didn't. The same goes for lower end cables as well.

In my opinion the difference lies in the material/technology used in which they were made out of, not the cost of the cables.

Of course again, this just my opinion. Lord knows I could be wrong.

Well done Jack!...............THAT'S what I was attempting to do.

I Am hoping for a larger turnout though......

Hello all,
I went thru the cable "disease" some time back. I purchased several different brands, MIT,Monster,Analysis Plus,Rat Shack etc. For the most part there was no diff. and when there was,it seemed that the cable was coloring the sound, which goes against my grain for what I tried to achieve in buying my equipment. Flat freq. response, neutral sound.
Just my opinion, -have great day-
