I have a pioneer integrated amp, its about 14 years old it's in great condition. I was wondering if I will be able to hook a pair of M80's to it? Will the 4 ohms be to low for it?

Thanks
I bet it would be no problem. If any, older amps (made in the era when they did not have to cram-in 7x100W amps in a same-size cabinet) are more tolerant for low load impedance. Of course, if you still have the owner's manual around, it would not hurt to consult it. But I would go ahead and try! In the worst case, the amp will shut itself down and no damage will be made...
Hi Geoff,

Well said by Sushi. My older two-channel stereo amps (Yamaha, Pioneer, Heathkit) all drive 4-ohm loads with no difficulty.

Regards,
Thank you very much for your help and I'll try it when I purchase them. Have a happy easter.
