Hello everyone,

I've been experiencing this problem with my M80s lately...it started a few months ago and seems to have gotten worse with further use. I am currently running the pair with a Marantz 2245 receiver. The right channel usually starts out fine, but within 5-10 minutes I get static and the signal cuts in and out. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?
Likely your receiver.

The first thing to do is to switch your two speakers, that will identify whether it's a speaker od the receiver!

(You want the speaker wire that normally goes to your Right speaker to instead feed a signal to your Left speaker)

With a 2245, I can pretty much guarantee it's the receiver.
More than likely the receiver. It might need to serviced or cleaned.

A simple thing (perhaps a temporary fix) is to try WITH THE RECEIVER TURNED OFF, work the volume control back and forth several (10-20 times) times from min to max point.

ROTATE THE RECEIVER VOLUME CONTROL BACK TO MINIMUM, turn on your equipment and play some music at your desired listening volume.

We use to have to do this with with some of the switches in the Navy before we tested them.... It only took us about 10hrs the first time to determine it was corrosion on the contacts that was throwing our readings off.... These were switches that would only be operated in an emergency, but needed to be tested every 6 months.
