Was it just the crossover circuitry? When did v3 come out?
Thanks for that link. Sorry I did not think to search for it.
I am about 2 months from pulling the trigger on m80s and vp180 and it seems that v4 may be coming next month. Is that true?
I haven't seen anything to suggest that. Have you?
I'd be pretty bummed out if that's the case. I'm sure they'd let me know when placing an order.
My first pair of axiom speakers (m80s) are due to be shipped any day. i'm on my 11th business day since ordering
I haven't seen anything on V4s. There DOES seem to be work on the sub line, though.
I've heard nothing about v4s except from people speculating.
You didn't get the memo, Ken?
The V.1.57 Memo or the V1.58 Memo?
The V1.58 memo with the addendum attached.
Which addendum version, though? A, B, C, or L?
I got it but was totally thrown off that there was no cover sheet on the TPS report.
Speculative guess on v4. They want to keep it quiet until released though or people stop buying v3. The 20% off on irregulars ending at the end of the month coupled with the 3rd annual anniversary of the v3 definitely justifies my speculation.
How long between original m80s and v2? Then June 2010 for v3. Is the graph a line with a constant slope? I don't have the info as I am an axiom fanboy in the making with 2 months of marinating remaining.
With the v3 upgrade, all changes by the cosmetic ones were already shipping in the v2 months before the v3s surfaced. So anyone who has a late v2 (like my center channel) got the important upgrades anyway.
Now that I think about it, perhaps the "v4" is the lfr1100. My understanding is that the lfe starts with an m80 and adds a second set of drivers on the back. They just came out, right?
They did just come out, but they're not exactly upgraded M80s. They have an additional woofer, a completely different cabinet, and they require the external DSP to control the rear drivers. I still have no idea where you got the idea of a v4 occurring at all.
just a guess. Appears I am in error. Sorry for diminishing the s/n ratio

The DSP box controls all the drivers, front and back.
