Just thought I'd let you know Axiom has a trade-in program. The 175v4 looks different and likely sounds different. I think the amp may have been improved as well. I've heard about problems like yours on these boards but not with v4 subs. Maybe that's indicative of improvements.
Finally got someone to look at it...it was a bad "positive 12-volt regulator"...he said it overheated...and was surprised there wasn't a heat sink or fan
Glad you got that fixed. Regulators don't always need heat sinks or fans. Maybe there was another fault that caused it to overheat. Or maybe it's bad design and it should have thermal regulation.

Well then you know what? You, as the customer, get the benefit of the doubt. Axiom ought to allow you to trade up from your 175v3 to the 125v4. Andrew has said the 125v4 bats as hard as the 175v3! I have two in cherry chestnut and love them.
