I have a 5.1 M60/VP150/QS8 config in a 20x16 ft room. I usually toe-in the M60s to directly face the listening position. I was curious what other people do, or if they have any suggestions or technical recommendations about toe-in of main speakers.

The only "rule" I know when it comes to toe-in is that you should never toe-in any further than directly at your head.

My M22s are toed-in about midway between straight ahead and directly at my ears. I found this gave me the best mix of imaging and soundstage width.

I read another post where someone used the wedge shape of the Axiom cabinet as a guide and toed them in just far enough so that the inner sides are parallel to their line of sight. This method makes it easy to see if the angle of both speakers is the same.

Experiment, experiment! Only your ears can tell you what works best in your room.

My config is a 5.1 M60/VP100/QS8/EP350 - I have had to do exactly the same - toe in the mains toward the listening position.

I have M22s, and I'm lining up the inner side of the wedge with my line of sight, like pmbuco heard about. This works the best for my room. Also, my listening position is not directly between the speakers, so, they're kinda toed in different degrees relative to the room walls, but the same relative to me. This was the best compromise for me, but they're new speakers so I haven't tried everything yet.
