It'll be connected to a NAD C270 amp. Axiom had the cheapest cables with nice ends already on them that was 12 guage for around 9-12 feet. The termination is a bit confusing, though.

Thanks.

The audiophile police would come for me.
whats in those expensive ones is the same thing that they sell by the foot, unterminated.

I believe you'll need the 1/4" to 1/4" but im not sure if those dimentions are the inside or the outside measurement. If the outside measurement is too big they wont fit into the NAD binding posts.

More like the AuD1oPhiL3z p0L1x0rz.

I've been looking at the cables too. Sure, regular speaker cable, or practically any cable for that matter, can work well. The problem I have, and maybe this individual also faces, is that it is just that - normal. I'd like some nice gear to accompany my nice speakers. It's peace of mind for me.
I don't think anyone here would disagree with you. Life's too short. Get what pleases you if it fits in the budget. Just don't get it for the wrong reasons.

What about this? Or is the sound king wire here better.. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=100-155 8 guage seems like the lowest a lot will accept.
Here's the deal - get on over the Home Depot and go to the bulk wire department. They have 12 ga and 14 ga wire they will cut to whatever length you want. It will do just as well as virtually ANYTHING else you find and it's very inexpensive. Now if you would like, I DO have some $3,000/inch speaker wire that is just stunning. It sounds like it is expnsive, but with the proper cable stretcher, you can cut down the cost significantly
TH, if you'll do as Bren suggested and use something like this (or even the plain brown stuff that I use)I promise that I'll protect you from the audiophile police. It might be helpful to study this explanation of speaker wire by a well-respected veteran audio professional.

The 174 wire you show is just single conductor power cable and isn't suitable for your use ; the 155 is okay if that's what you want, but it's a bit of overkill for the short runs that you'll have.
The one reason to use boutique cable is for look.

Which is why I bought Axiom bulk cable... my fiancee thought the pink transparent bulk stuff was ugly, and the Axiom bulk stuff was a few cents more expensive a foot so I got it - other than that - sounds the same, a bit easier to work with (nice and flexible) and has the cool Axiom imprint. Sounds the same as 14-2 romex, though.
