I recently purchased (4) M60's and the VP150 to put together a home theater system. My question is merely out of curiosity. Ian has said the M80 has more dynamics than the M60 so I was wondering how the (4) M60's would compare dynamically, to the (2) M80 and (2) QS-8 system you have in the Epic 80 HT system. Just wondered what the advantages and disadvantges each system would have and Ian's overall thoughts on the subject.

I think the mode you are using on your processor is going to have a lot to do with this equation. In 5-channel stereo your current system would have the highest dynamic capability. In one of the usual surround modes or 2-channel then the M80 system would have more. All in all it is going to be a close one, you are going to a have a great dynamic range capability either way.
