I'm trying to locate a longer screw for the preinstalled holes in the M2i/VP150. I've found a stash of M6-1.00 but I think the thread pitch is off...maybe M6-1.25?
Anbybody know the actual size before I widen my search?
I wish I could help. If you don't get your answer, go to Home Depot or a hardware store and pick up a thread pitch gauge. Sears might have one too. You will usually find them with the Tap and Die sets.

Good luck.

If you can't find the guage, take the original bolt with you to a hardware store. The way to make sure the replacement you buy has the exact same pitch is to hold them side by side so the heads are on opposite ends, like this (sorry for the bad ascii):

[]-----
-----[]

Then rotate the bolts inward against each other. Bolts with matching thread pitches will mesh exactly as they rotate and will stay in the same position relative to each other. In other words, they won't slide to the right or left as you rotate them.
Or you can find a nut that works on the bolt and use that to determine the threading.
