Thanks for the information. I'm sure a lot of people who pay for the high $$ cables won't be too happy to read it though. I am planning to purchase new cables in a couple weeks and it looks like, from the website, that I don't need to go with 12ga wire as other people have suggested. I have often wondered about this, whether 'advantages gained' bragged about by wire manufacturers were actually true. I mean, current is current, and just because you have bigger wire, doesn't mean you're getting any more. I can understand for long runs you would need thicker, because you are trying to maintain the current over a longer route, but for short runs, I can't see how an advantage would be gained going from 16ga to 12ga.
