Hi dear friends!
Could I get some opinions regarding the choice between Denon 2200/2900/2910/3910 and Pioneer Elite 59? My main concern would be the sound ( Axiom speakers).Or should I wait a few more years and upgrade from my Sony 53" HDTV ready to an HDMI Tv + an eventual universal player with HDMI?(my Toshiba DVD plays DVD Audio in 2 ch. only,not 6).
The receiver is a HK 7300.

If you want something this very minute, the Denon 2900 wins hands down. I have owned or tried every player in your list and I hung on to the 2900.

Once I got past some (sheepishly admitted) operator errors, and one bad unit from Crutchfield, the 2900 has become the best AV piece of equiptment that I have ever owned.
No experience with any of the others on your list, but this 2900 is staggering. I could not be happier.

Third suggestion for the 2900 - it is a beast!

If I could've afforded it, I would've gotten the 2900. That being said, I ended up w/ the 2200 and love it. Only wish it had DVI for my plasma.

everywhere i look the 2900 is being touted as the best thing since sliced bread at the moment.

The 2200 is also an excellent choice.

The picture quality of my 2900 is outstanding. Have only used it sparingly for cd playback and can't give you much feedback.
