Anybody "upgrade" their speaker/interconnects/optical/subwoofer wiring to Axiom's?

I'm re-assembling my HT system in my new co-op apartment in 2 weeks, and my wires are pretty ghetto looking. I don't believe that they will sound any better, but I want everything to look clean and good.

I use the Axiom speaker wire... it's out in the open for parts of the runs and wasn't any more expensive than the 12ga I was buying here.

I have to admit, it's "like buttah"... soft and pliable, sits perfectly flat. No different sounding, but easy to work with and looks sharp.

My interconnects and stuff are all hidden (er, will eventually be hidden when I rerun them all) in the cable keeper on the AV stand, so those are off-the-shelf industrial cables with wire strain relief.

Did you get the pre-terminated stuff, or the "bulk" stuff?

I went with Axiom's bulk speaker wire, as Bren said it's very pliable and easy to work with. I've terminated everything except the QS8s with banana plugs.

The wire is so easy to work with I'm even considering using it for Axiom shoelaces and Axiom western ties

Well, I've already run 14 ga. speaker wire along the floor and up the wall (plastered over), so I'm set for the surrounds. I don't intend to terminate them because I want them to sit flush with the wall.

I'm debating between these wires and Kimber Kable. I won't need too much because the mains and center will be between 6-8 feet from the amplifier/receiver.

Jeez cables can cost a lot! Ideally I want the whole range

Using the bulk speaker wire and it looks and feels like quality stuff. I also use an Axiom digital coax cable and it looks to be well constructed. It certainly looks good next to all the other Monster Cables!

Bulk. Definately bulk. Though throwing on a set of banana plugs for the receiver end may have been a good idea for frustration purposes. Fitting my meathooks in back of the receiver and tightening down the binding posts was a bit of an ordeal.

Nah, my fingers aren't fat... they're just not good at delicate work.

I can't blame them... after 24 years of my modified hunt-and-peck typing, years of refusing to wear gloves during -35C winters, a few years of solving disputes by putting my knuckles into someone else's jaw, and having them stepped on countless times by eager middle infielders, I think the responsibility rests squarely on my shoulders.
