I'm in the procees of buying M3 or M22. From the reviews of M3 and M22, what I get is M22 is better in natural bass and slightly better in midrange. If crossed over above 80Hz with my HSU VTF-2 subwoofer, will they still exhibit significant difference in sound quality?
I think the M22's will probably still have an edge in the midrange. I wouldn't cross them over any higher than 90 or maybe 100hz, though (even that could lead to somewhat directional bass coming from the sub depending on your room/hearing/etc).
Hello,

Yes, there will be a significant difference in midrange clarity and detail, as well as upper bass smoothness. The M22ti's midrange linearity also yields exceptional imaging and more of a 3D-like soundstage. But jkohn is right: don't push the crossover frequency higher than 80 Hz.

Regards,
Jkohn and Alan, Thanks for the advise. I'll have M22s very soon!!
