Would this be suitable for in-wall use? I've never run speaker cable through the wall before, but the time has come.

Does the cable need to be protected in any way, such as through conduit, or can be run as is?

Thanks

The cable is not rated for in-wall use, so it wouldn't be up to code to use it as such. Functionally, it would work just fine, though.

Are the magic words "in wall" or "plenum" ? My understanding was that you did not need special wire for in-wall speaker use, just for wires running through what is considered an air handling duct.

BlueJeans article . Everything's clear now, right?

Unless your city code has added restrictions to the one John mentions which is a UBC standard, then you can choose which every wire you prefer. If in doubt, a call to your local building department should give you an answer.

That's the same article that JohnK linked to on the Bluejean site.

Thanks for the link, and the replies.

If it was earlier in the day, I might understand all that!
