I'm looking into buying a Denon 3805 (maybe 3806) and a pair of m80ti's. I've been reading that Denon suggests not to run 4 ohm speakers on their receivers but I've noticed quite a few posting on these message boards that have this same exact match up. Any thoughts / problems/ issues ??

Thanks

Go for it, you will be fine running the 80s with the Denon.

I have a Denon 3805, it had no problem driving my 80's. The Denon manual even states they can drive speakers down to 4ohms.

Denon is actually one of the lines that are recommended for 80's, as is HK. My manual on the 2805 says not to go below 4 ohm, it does not say 4 ohm won't work.

You'll be fine, Axiom recommends Denon for 80's as well.

I use my Denon 3805 to drive four M80s. They are 4ohm speakers. No problems at all!
