Very new to this. I was just wondering if I am allowed to run the m80's on my harman receiver which is spec'd at 8ohms.

Yes your H/K receiver will do fine with the M80s. There are a few on the forum the use this combo.
Thank you, I just read a few threads from people with that combo like you stated.
The 635 will handle that load fine ... I'm currently running an 8 ohm VP100 connected to a 6 ohm VP150 wired in parallel producing 3.43 ohms (or there abouts) through my 635 and haven't had any problems whatsoever. In the past I've also ran my 80s with the 635 at some pretty high decibels and never had any problems.
