This is a hum? Or static? And it happens only when you turn up the set VERY loud?
Bren R.
bren ,not a hum but like you said static , like a radio when you dont have frequency. And i dont have to turn it very loud like a half of the power.
Do you hear the noise while playing your DVD's as well as through the cable?
Disconnect everything and listen to the speakers when on the DVD input channel. If the noise is load - it's Toshiba, call the company.
If there no noise then connect the cable box and the cable box cables but still listen while on DVD input. If the noise appears it somehow comes from the box or through the cables - may be bad shielding.
If there is still no noise connect the DVD cables and then DVD.
hey i disconnect the dvd and the cable and the noise is still there, i plug the plasma in another mural catch again the same thing, so i call a toshiba technicien (under guarantee), the guy gone be here tomorrow to see what happend, i made a post tomorrow to letyou know!
so te tech guys was here ,everything is ok ,he told me that the amplifier in this unit whit all the WOW (special effect) on, is on maximum around 50% of the volume before it start to make noise, so what i did is turn off the WOW program!!!!!!!!. for now is ok, but i said to my wife to be prepared to see 2 new inwall w3 speaker whit a new amp denon dra-295.
