Looking forward to the upcoming Axiom Picnic.

A couple of weekends ago, we were passing through Dwight Ontario and my wife took these shots:

We just had to stop at the birthplace of my speakers.

Can't wait for a factory tour.

Funny thing about trees.......

......we have pines that look just like that.....here in Florida.

Just wish it wasen't a 30hr drive up there with the six of usI'd really like to make it to the picnic.

You probably could have schedule a tour when you were just there if you had planned it ahead of time.

Speaking of the factory tour . . . I have our on-site photographer and uploader at the ready for picnic day! (In case Bray can't make it!) Any requests for must-see shots? Not the confidential stuff, of course, but . . . dust collector? Chipper? What interests you?

But, it's the CONDFIDENTIAL STUFF that interests us most.

Seriously, any products which are available for photos are, I'm sure, of interest, and after that, to me, the most important thing is the people (and YES, that includes you too, Amie. C'mon now!) It's really wonderful to be able to put faces to names, and see what you all will be doing. I do so wish I could be there. I'm hoping for lots of posts and pics.

Don't intend to Shanghai the thread, but any shots of drivers and other components being installed could be lots of fun.

And Yes! include pictures of the folks who complete the assembly operations; especially if they're the same folks who built My speakers

I'd like to add a comment: About those folks who assembled all five of my speakers; Thank you! Fine job!! Luv 'em

I'd like to see some more "zany" pictures of Alan. Maybe it's time he updated his forum picture id.

There is rumoured to be a room where M80s are run at ungodly power levels occasionally. I'm bringing my hearing protectors and earplugs (good for about 35 dB together, I think, enough that you don't really notice handguns going off beside you )

If you don't notice handguns going off beside you with only 35 dB of NR, you must be in a room of M80s already!

Well, I guess you hear the BIG handguns, but the little stuff like 45's and 9mm's you don't notice so much.

It's actually kind of dangerous shooting a .22 with double ear protection because you can't tell if the gun fired normally or just squibbed and left a bullet in the barrel.

Anyways, I think I'm ready for the "loud room"

Amie
Sadly (kinda) I'm not going to be able to attend.
I have exactly the opposite problem I had a few months ago.
I AM SOOOOO BUSY!!!
I got booked at a local studio for the next 2 months at least and they're talking about 3 or 4 months. We photographers call that "permalance"
(opposed to freelance) and in general it is a good thing.

So glad things are getting back to normal for ya. Things are really kicking into high gear in our studio. I am currently shooting Christmas cosmetic books. Fun, I love shooting cosmetics. Only trouble is sometimes I get the smell on me and I get funny looks from strangers. Also my wife asks questions and when I tell her I'm shooting cosmetics I get the hairy eyeball anyway.

Sorry, no hijack intended.
Amie, I really di wish I would be able to join y'all. Sounds like a great time.

Bray, it would have been a blast to meet you but like you, I have trouble being sad about such good news! The door is always open when you do get a chance . . .

I'd love to see shots of the production line:
1)warehouse - stock materials
2)various machining stations inicluding your dust collection system and wood chipping (waste materials?)
3)Dust control systems, humidity control, special fume extraction for chemical treatments or finishing
4)assembly and finishing (handling prior to packaging to show how you maintain the finish)
5)driver mounting
6)in-house test rooms

Since the "wall series" of speakers are [unofficially] out, how about some more shots of those. I may purchase a set of those for my rear surrounds.

I wish I could go but my wife (expecting on the 24th of this month) would not make the 3-day trip.
