There are only a couple of setup options on the Wii that might have caused what happened. One, you have to set in the Wii whether the sensor bar is above or below the screen. If you get that wrong, it makes it a little erratic.
Second, if you have a really big screen, it takes a little getting used to, but once you do get used to it, I can't remember anything like what you described happening to me. Either way, for me the Wii is a party gaming system and nothing more. The sports games are amusing in a group setting, but I find that if I actually want to seriously play a game (more and more seldom these days), the PS3 is my overwhelming preference. Jason

I went to pick up littleBIGplanet at gamestop and they said that the game was recalled and all of the shipments had to be sent back. They said it would be a couple of days before new shipments arrived so I went ahead and reserved one of those. The guy said something about some references to the Qu'ran that led to the recall. This story seems to confrim that:

Yeah, it was supposed to be last Tue but moved back a week. Somebody already tried to ebay the original copy for $250. Frankly, I didn't think it was a big deal but Sony does.
Agree with Jason. Sounds like your Wii needs some calibration. Also, don't expect it to be perfect for FPS. If that's your main genre, Xbox 360 or PS3 is probably a better bet. |

I find the Wii incredibly fun when you are playing with a group of people. We have one downstairs in the living room, but I have yet to feel the urge to play a game solo.
And, yes, the controller does take some getting used to.

Bren R.
BrenR. If your main priority with a console is to play quality games especially online, the 360 is my overwhelming pick. The PS3 has a few good exlcusive titles but overall the games are lacking. If you want to use a console for audio/video/blu-ray then I would pick the PS3. I was never impressed with the Wii. For Games I would Rate: 1) Xbox 360 2)PS3 3)Wii Features: 1)PS3 2) Xbox 360 3) Wii Hardware: 1)PS3 2)Wii 3)Xbox 360 Software: 1)Xbox 360 2) PS3 3)Wii Controller: 1) Xbox 360 2)Wii 3)PS3 Online Community: 1) Xbox 360 2) PS3 3) Wii Overall: 1)Xbox 360 2)PS3 3)Wii

I am the only really "gamer" in the house, and I have been a die-hard PC gamer at that. I've owned a couple of consoles in the past, but never really got a lot of use out of them until we got the Wii. It isn't the same as an XBox 360, PS3, or PC, but is isn't supposed to be. For pure "pick it up and play at the spur of the moment" games, the Wii is a lot of fun. My youngest daughter is pretty much hooked on Super Mario Galaxy, but likes to take everyone on in tennis. I like some of the fun puzzle games like Zack and Wiki, and I will pinch hit for some of the more difficult Mario Galaxy levels. I've got Zelda Twilight Princess and a few other more "grown up" games, but haven't even broken them out after owning them for almost a year...
