I have heard that there is an excellent thread on the forum for set up of the Yamaha RXV1400 but I cannot find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I don't know about that thread, but I just set up my new HT using the 1400, the manual instructed me through the set up very well. Each individual set up is different, so it is probably best to follow the manual.

Welcome,Pepe; I think that you're referring to the excellent description Mike(mwc)gave of setting up the essentially identical 2400 here .

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

yep. That is the one I was looking for. I have the speakers (M60i, VP150, QS8, Hsu VF-2). But the 1400 is not in yet. Just trying to get my bearings.

Hi pepesan,
I'm a little curious. From where did you hear about this thread?
