Lyrics. Two lines maximum. Theme: optional. Credit tag: optional.
One lyric post per day limit. Penalty for violation will change daily. (Smarmy comments are without limits, as usual.)
First poster after midnight determines that day's violation penalty.
Like sitting both for HomeDad's AND Ken's kids (in a single room @ Motel 6 in Needles) while they're each away for two weeks in Hawaii. And I know that some of you probably were never limited to only two lines, but the 80's ended 20 years ago. Get over it!
"Was convicted of theft when I slipped from the womb. They led me straight from my mother to a cell in the Tombs."

Or else I know what I'm quoting tomorrow.

"These collection of lyrics isn't far from the normal dialogue found within a typical thread. We shoulda formed a rock band long ago, so all the sex-starved members could be getting themselves some head". ....I'm pretty sure that's where he was going with that.

Not one credit line offered thus far. Interesting...
I was kinda hoping that this might devolve into using a one or two liner deftly chosen to snipe at the previous poster's post.
Adrian's got so much "stuff" swimming around up there and a pretty good retrieval system as well. And he's so not alone here.
"I don't like those; my God what's that?"

One lyric post per day limit. Penalty for violation will change daily. (Smarmy comments are without limits, as usual.)
First poster after midnight determines that day's violation penalty. So does that mean you or Micah get to dole it out to Peter, Ken, Adrian, et al?

Actually, with a post @ 1 a.m. yesterday and another yesterday a.m. @ around 11, I guess I was the first person to violate my own rule! Makes sense after all these years of violating myself. What's another rule?

There've already been so many good ones here that I dont know at all. They're intriguing enough that, if the artists aren't rap, hip-hop or opera , I might run out and buy their CD's just for their attitude.

In iambic pentameter? Really, I came here just to get some info, but stuck around 'cause of all the "bad attitudes" and puerile behaviors.

And she won't understand why anyone would have to try, to walk a line when they could fly.

"Sex is natural, sex is good. No everbody does it, but everybody should"... - George Micheal (Thought these lyrics were fitting in this forum since it seems a few of our members haven't been laid since that song was released!) (Well.... That, and the fact that I've been accused of talking about sex more than the usual forum member does. So I'm just tryng to live up to my name sake)

Actually, if you want to quote Trent, then it should be:
"I wear this crown of sh*t Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair"
Do you think that Johnny Cash's version was more famous than NIN's...just curious about your opinion?

Do you think that Johnny Cash's version was more famous than NIN's...just curious about your opinion? I went with the Johnny Cash version since I try to keep my offensive language to a minimum on a public forum. (Yes, I sometimes fail.) However I seem to remember hearing in a JC interview that Trent told him that "thorns" was his original wording prior to publishing. I think who's version is more popular depends on who you ask. Thousands of dedicated country fans would probably 'thorn' themselves if they discovered who really wrote what they consider Cash's swan song. In any case, the younger generation probably are most familiar with Sad Kermit's version. Laugh at that if you will until you watch it. It brings at least as many tears as Cash's video. By the way. Trent is giving away music again. His new band "How to Kill Angels" has a free EP giveaway on the Nine Inch Nails Web sight. It's very much the the same NiN style, dark, industrial electronica but the female singer adds a bit of a new dimension.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated inside, and that is beautiful.
