Shannon Butcher covering Carol King's Will You Still Love Me.

If ever there was a use for the word chocolaty in audio it would be to describe the bass in this vocal & bass cover. Its rich vibrant and tasty without overpowering the voice.

So much pop music these days is muddied by way to many layers of stuff. Not this song.

Xolie Morra & The Strange Kind

My friend, Tiana, let me borrow a CD of theirs. It's a burned copy, but I think the band burned it themselves and sold it at the show. They don't seem to have a proper CD release of any kind. They have four tracks available on iTunes and one of those tracks available in Amazon.com's music store.

I like the CD all right, though I like the last track on the CD more than the others. Here's a live version of it:

"C'est L'amour"

I prefer the version on the CD, but at least you get an idea.

I wish I could dance this well in a bodysuit and look as serious doing it.

I will pay you to show up at the next Axiom gathering wearing the Green Man outfit.

Great video. Do you own the album? I saw their name come up recently, but I hadn't checked them out yet.

In that case, I hope it's not held in the winter. . . .

I just ordered it from Amazon. I think I may have added their first album to my cart a long time ago. . . . .it looked familiar.

I think I'll have to order the album, too. Between the video you posted and this Black Cab Sessions performance, I'm sold.

You know, I was fairly certain you had already posted a link to them in the past.

Thanks for the other link, I enjoyed that!

Hmm... I don't think it was me. I think I'd only heard of them recently when Amazon.com was recommending them to me.

I haven't been exposing myself to enough new music. I should try to dig around again.

Garbage has their new website up. Anyone want to take a stab at their anagram contest?
