Ha, I'm pretty sure my posts would be illegible due to my head hitting the keyboard?

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
I just watched the Blu-ray that I got on Tuesday. I had seen it in the theater. I liked it just as much the second time around. Immaculately shot, and I really like the audio on my home system. M80s and EP800s are still wonderful, and the Buttkicker adds some satisfying extra sensation in key moments. I had to leave the room a couple of times, though, since I had my mom watching with me. Ha ha. Awkward. With the M80s still impressing me, the LFR1100s have their work cut out for them. I'm optimistic, though, that they'll increase the dimensionality enough to be a worthwhile upgrade. |

I love Fincher, and own everything he's made, except Dragon Tattoo. I just don't want to buy the BD, and find he's going to finish the series, and end up having to double-dip to get the ultimate box set.
I did get an e-mail from Vudu saying it's on up streaming now. So I guess that's how I'll watch it tonight.

I've seen the Swedish trilogy, and read the first book. They're OK. I was actually disappointed that David was doing this film, as I figured I'd had enough of Lisbeth. I'll say that Fincher's version is the best of the group, and I'm actually looking forward to the next two.
Trent's score was amazing too; really complimented the film, just as he did with The Social Network. I think David Fincher has found his Danny Elfman.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the film. Finished reading the first two of the books and have the third one on the shelf.

My wife and I watched the BD (the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) the other night. I read the first book and 1/2 way through the second. The movie is very good. You'll never cover all the detail of a novel in 2-1/2 hours of film. The actress that played Lisbeth Salander was exactly how I imagined her in the book.
