In my case the price was roughly half msrp.

But still plan on buying a new car with what ever funds my retirement account has over the balance as of 01/01/13 at the end of March 2013. So far, 1 of 3 months into this plan, I'm 1/3 of the way to $50 grand. Hopefully, I can keep it up. (That's actual dollars after selling stock, not just an amount on paper). Let's see.. How much is a 2014 Corvette?

The IR repeater I installed last night, works fine with the old remotes. I do have to point the remote to the top of the TV, where the sensor is located, stuck to the back of the TV at the upper top.
I haven't tried it yet with 3D turned on. It should be ok, since my active 3D glasses uses RF and not IR signals. The blue light that it comes with, I ran through the hole I made for the upper right speaker wire. It's a bit on the bright side, but it informs me when it receives the IR signal from the remote. Without this, it'd be harder to determine if I was aiming the remote properly. Sometimes during the playback of the movie, the blue light will dimly illuminate during brighter scenes. I may have to either live with this, or see if moving the sensor helps any.

I was pretty lucky, the power center I recieved Christmas2011 came with an IR repeater and a pile of cables.
I'll be installing it soon, I had to install my satelite DVR behind a cabinet door when I installed my new amp. I should have installed it then. I have to aim around my center channel to turn on the TV. It bugs the wife so its all good.

My car knows I want a different one.
I lost the map light this weekend. Yesterday my car wouldn't start when trying to go home from work. Battery good. Put extra gallon of gas in it, just in case the gauge was broke. Had it towed to my favorite repair shop. Still waiting on results. Probably the ignition electronic module, or whatever it's called. ![]()

This car costs around $1000 a year in maintenance, so it was due. It's a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus with 210,000 miles.

![]() Anybody have any experience or opinions with an AWD Subaru? Here's a picture of a 2013 Outback, I've been thinking about. I've been looking at cars and looking for a decent all weather vehicle to buy first, before any necessary frivolous auto down the road (sic).

I bought a 1987 Subaru DL hatchback new and drove it 100,000 miles until selling it in 1997. It was a great car for me. It was FWD, so my experience isn't that relevant to a new Subie with 4WD, but I do think highly of Subaru overall as far as quality goes. A solid if quirky Japanese make.

One of my wife's uncles has had two Subaru Foresters so far. He and his wife also have an Acura TL. If it were strictly up to the Mrs. she'd sell the Acura in a heartbeat and stick to the Subaru.
