Well,........ it's been ALMOST a year anyway.
I have already done a number of posts as to the great sound quality, and enjoyment I have experienced since getting my M60's, so I thought I would post about WHY I chose Axiom.

The first thing was of course, the great web site......I was instantly impressed with the site....just what I had pictured a speaker company would have as a "tool" to make an on line puchase.

Next thing was, the "custom colors" (or colours). I was thrilled to finally have a color "choice" for speakers......I was tired of seeing the black, or some shade of cherry finish, most other companies offer. (I don't have any furniture those colors).

Specifications......Axiom goes to great lengths to give the DETAILED information to compare with other brands, this really gave me confidence to take that "leap of faith", and order speakers I had not seen, or HEARD!

The price......although I was willing, and able to spend much more on speakers for my new system, the M60's, with a 1" titainium tweeter (a must for me), "metal" drivers, (a three way design) and the cabinet shape, were all factors for me, and without spending WAY more......I don't think I would have gained much.

Finally, after a year of use.......they (of course) still sound great, and I am truly amazed at the "home run" I hit, when I took a chance,.....(following the positive feeling I got from this site), and placed my order.

LT

Great post LT, and it is wondeful to hear someone so enthused by their purchase!
I bought my first pair of Axioms in 1990ish, still have them, and enjoy them - when I have time!

One question if I may. You mention "with a 1" titainium tweeter (a must for me), "metal" drivers, (a three way design) and the cabinet shape, were all factors for me"

Can you explain your reasoning for wanting these in the products?

PLEASE NOTE - I am not looking for trouble, just curious as to another intelligent humans thoughts.

Thank you, BBIBH.

These are the reasons for my preferences.
My old speakers had 1/2" titainium tweeters....I believe a 1" quality titainium dome type will play louder, be more efficient, and produce less distortion.
For me, a 3-way speaker is best...(assuming there is a well designed cross-over to go with it as well)......again, for me. (I have owned BOTH.....two, and three way speakers).

I like the idea of a "dedicated" speaker...........tweeter, for the highs (quite naturally) a mid-range, for the mids, and (especially) the vocals, two drivers for the bass, once again, for efficient, accurate, low hz., reproduction. (I have always believed two "main" drivers are more efficient than one).
The aluminum drivers (I believe), are more rigid, and again.... more efficient. (does looking cool count?).

Last, but not least, I believe Axiom about the standing wave design, and port technology..........this is what I think, there are many here, much more technical than I,..............................BUT YOU ASKED!

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! 3 weeks down, 2 to go for my FO order. I got my Denon 2805 yesterday and it's just sitting there taunting me! I'm trying to resist hooking up my mishmash
of speakers left over from my Pro Logic setup. I will feel much better when I can post a "1 year review."

Yup..

Just passed my 2 year anniversary here a couple days ago. Unfortunatly we have been seperated for the last 6 months but hope to be reunited in the future. It will be like the day we first met.

I was going to make a port joke, but some people seem to find such humor offensive.
