I'll be posting mine here to save on ink. Almost done, too.

Sounds like a good plan. I'll post the track list of my disc tonight. I'm curious to know how many cd purchases our mix exchange creates.

Not to rain on any parades, cause this sounds pretty good and I would like to hear some new music from everyone here as well, but how is doing this different then putting some mp3's for people to download? I seem to remember some negative posts about people shouldn't be doing that a while back. (regardless of RIAA opinion, which really doesn't factor into it for most people anyway)

That's why I'm curious about the resulting cd purchases. What the RIAA doesn't understand is that a tremendous amount of cd sales are the direct result of mp3 downloads and cd trades. I'd say nearly 50%+ of the cd's I've purchased in the past 2-3 years are due to the fact that I heard a cool mp3, or someone burned a few cool tracks for me. The reason they're losing money is because they're promoting CRAP music.

<end rant>

That's what I figured too. There is no way an artist or label would be upset over users burning ONE track to distribute among friends. Very good promotional tool, IMO.

Oh yeah. I'm having some trouble with my CD creator software. I was most of the way through when the software reported output errors and inexplicably ruined the whole disc. Bizarre.

OK. I just finished "pmbuko's AxFoMix #1" and I'm burning two copies to be ready to send out in reciprocity for the two mixes I have incoming. (I'm assuming the incoming mixes will have return addresses on them??)

I will also send a copy to anyone who PM's me their address. I'll respond to your PM with a complete track/artist/album listing.
