Basement Movie Room - TV to Projector

My weekend project converting TV Room into a movie room with Epson 8350 projector.

It was a toss up to replace the trusty 50" Hitachi with either a 60" LED 1080p TV or a projector. The projector option won and I'm really happy with the result.
Total cost for all - projector and mount, cables, paint, component stand, curtains and hardware - $1917.32

The whole room is painted white including the ceiling and I needed to reduce the amount of reflected light onto the ceiling - painting it flat black wasn't an option. In order to keep cost down I bought 4 sheets of flat black Bristol board from our local dollar store - 2 for 1.00 and thumb tacked them to the ceiling.

Easy to remove without any visual evidence if we ever sell and the effect on the reflected light really worked. I actually added a second row later on to further reduce the reflection - an extra $2.00

I had one of those once.

Until you were found drunk and passed out stuck in it?

Totally clever thinking with the bristol board! Glad that idea worked!
