Highly praised by critics and customers alike for their transparent, detailed and neutral music reproduction, the M22 bookshelf speakers anchor the Epic Grand Master system. You'll experience audiophile performance at a previously unheard-of price.

The M22 uses dual 5.25-inch woofers and a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter—exactly the same drivers that the floorstanding M60ti and M80ti tower speakers use for upper bass, midrange and treble. That's why the compact M22's sound so remarkably similar to the big M60s and M80s, except for deep bass, of course. In this configuration the Grand Master system has a larger center-channel speaker (the 5-driver VP150) and a bigger subwoofer, the EP350, which together make this system suitable for louder, cleaner playback in somewhat larger rooms—up to 3,000 cu. ft.—or in dedicated home theaters where compact main speakers are desirable, yet greater listening distances (12 feet or more) come into play.

Effective in rooms up to 3,000 cu. ft., the M22 mains, VP150 center, EP350 powered subwoofer and QS8 surrounds together deliver thrillingly detailed, neutral and transparent movie soundtrack and music playback from DVDs, CDs, even from those amusing old LPs with their nice big, graphic cardboard jackets! The QS8 multipolar surround speakers each use four drivers, firing in four different directions, to deliver the ambient detail in music and the envelopment in effects and location sounds from Dolby Digital 5.1 channel movie soundtracks. Thunder, rainstorms and jungle scenes heard from the QS8s will put you in that environment—acoustically that is—so complete is the 5.1-channel surround sound envelopment.

If you want to enjoy multichannel music via your CDs through Dolby Pro LogicII, or High-Resolution DVD-Audio or SACD, the QS8s can do double duty: the music reproduction is as thrilling and enjoyable as ambient soundtrack effects.

The VP150 center channel uses three 5.25-inch aluminum-cone woofers identical to those in the M22's and QS8s, plus dual 1-inch titanium tweeters for excellent high-volume power handling, yielding a seamless blend between center, mains and surrounds, with plenty of depth and a spacious 3-dimensional soundstage. Fronts, center and surrounds can be wall-mounted or stand-mounted.

The EP350 subwoofer, with its 300-watt internal power amplifier and 12-inch aluminum-cone driver, nicely rounds out the Epic Grand Master's sonic capabilities, producing deep, taut, and extended musical bass to 27 Hz, with plenty of impact reserved for those blockbuster special effects. Whether it's the tight string bass of Ray Brown's jazz trio or the reverberant shocks of explosions, the EP350 sub smoothly blends with and extends the M22's range to very low frequencies in average rooms.

The combination of the Axiom speakers with a new Yamaha HTR 6190 receiver is amazing compared to the Polk Audio Speakers I had with a Sony STRDE985 receiver. I received the speakers first and I only had 6.1 surround with the Sony. The one Surround Back was weak. Now that I have the Yamaha hooked up the system has even distribution and excellent clarity through seven speakers. I cannot believe I lived with what I had for so long. Now I have true surround sound home theatre. Having the extra surround backs is definitely not too many speakers. I look forward to replacing the flat black with the piano finish walnut.

Just a quick note, the speakers are awesome - unbelievable sound!!!!. Thanks for the recommendation on going up to the 350 sub.

Even the kids were impressed. My two daughters enjoyed the audio quality of our Axiom system while watching the recent Keeping Score series shown on our local PBS station. We all agreed it sounded as good as going to the symphony.

If you're looking for high audio performance look no more!!! The M22 V2 front are for those who are looking for a crystal sound with great mid range, they sound more alike B&W 602 S3, Paradigm Monitor 5. You get Great sound for a reasonable price not as sky rocket as B&W or Paradigm speakers yet none worst in terms of sound quality. VP150 V2 is a great center it sounds much alike B&W LCR600 S3, moreover good for some big rooms crystal clear on highs good dynamics with Floor standing speakers. QS8 V2 are great speakers sounds good on highs clear and sharp, great surround dynamics. i can't really compare it to some surround speakers i've heard too. most important, don't think that those surround won't drive a big room easily because they definitely would! Cheers,

I recently upgraded my home theater to this system (less the sub, as I kept the one I already had). The tonal balance between and around the speakers is excellent. The tweeters a wonderfully silky and transparent. The M22s are robust and outperform any other bookshelf I've listened to. Voices from the VP150 and warm, clear and rich. But it's the QS8s that really moved me. They fill the room until you feel like you're taking a bath in liquid music! Many thanks, Axiom!

I found Axiom on the internet many years ago, bookmarked the site, and periodically checked the site to look at models and finishes. As I got closer to making decisions, I began reading and researching more on the Axiom site because it's such a good resource. Excellent sound quality was always #1, but almost as important were appearance and installation options. Since the speakers would be installed in a living room, they needed to look good as well as sound good. The range of Axiom's custom wood veneer and finish choices seems to very rare in the industry - I did not find any other manufacturer who offered such a wide variety selection. These are not inexpensive, but the results are worth every penny. By the way, the custom wood veneer on my M22s is spectacular - extra kudos to your custom shop.
