I still have all my Radio Shack equipment from early 80s, Stereo Receiver and Mini Two Way Speakers 40-5002 50W RMS 100w. Every now and then I hook them up and still sound great. I've kept all my equipment from the 70s until now. My Pioneer CS60 4 way's I had in college still rock!

I don’t really have a board accessible to look at. I had a problem with an my Ada1000 and opened it to take a picture for Andrew W. (To double check its wiring). While it was open I took a quick pict with a mirror to satisfy my curiosity on what chip they were basing this amp on. I’m pretty sure the amp is not too far off from the reference design of this chip. I’d start there.
P.S. on your board the ‘A’ side amp is not populated… I’d ring that out and compare it to the ‘B’ side just to make sure all your traces are still intact… have fun …

I heard it. It was really good.
Nice work Ian. Love hearing the history and landmarks along the way. Sounds like a great follow your nose and trust and learn and adapt story. Lots of heart in there. Love it.
I love the “Canadian Sound!”

I also prefer virtual centers when you can get away with them. You really only need a center channel when you have seats outside of the sweet spot of your main speakers. It anchors the dialog to the screen for those seats. Unfortunately, it sometimes (often?) requires extra work after calibration to make it blend naturally ... at least this has been my experience (I've only used Audyssey XT 32 so far for auto cal)
