They would obviously be perfectly matched, the VP150 can handle more power than the W22s, they don't take up floor space like the M60s/M80s (a spouse requirement) and they can be aimed--unlike the W22s. On the flipside, the VP150 is obviously not designed for this purpose. It also operates at 6 ohms, whereas the W22s operate at 8 ohms--not sure if that makes a difference.
Get the M60s with the nice wood finish to match your decore. You get to try them out for a month, once you got them in there looking great and sounding even better you are likely to change her mind.
