You mean the yellow, red and white composite and audio ones? The audio portions of the cable aren't necessarily to spec for video (bandwidth, shielding and 75ohm resistance) - if you do use that particular setup, I'd suggest using the "video" portion for the Y (luma) hookup, and the two audio cables for the chroma difference hookups. People have a much greater tolerance to chroma irregularities than luminance ones... that's how Canon continues to sell camcorders.
