I cannot tell you how much I love this place. I proudly participate at other forums and greatly enjoy that participation, but this is “home.” I do my best to allow others to think differently and have differing opinions, treating them respectfully unless I, or others, are first disrespected. To those whose toes I’ve stepped on I offer sincere apologies. For those who consider me an internet “friend” I am profoundly grateful. I treasure that friendship.
And to those who make jokes about my age, I have two things to say. First, It is unwise to make fun of your own future (or current condition), and lastly, kiss my grits.
For those who cannot see the smiles or hear the laughter in the above statement, let me assure you I thoroughly enjoy the good natured ribbing. Besides, being basically a lover of truth, the reality is, I
AM old. (please, no “you’re only as old as you feel” comments. That would put me around 97. Now if you want to say “you’re only as old as you
think,” you’ll be on to something, cuz I still can’t figure out how this 19 year old ended up in this 61 year old body. It’s a cruel twist of fate.
