Wait, wait, wait. With Tivo, there's no "giving up." There's only postponement.
The theory in my selling the 32" Sony CRT is that it would give us more active family time -- it has -- and that it would accelerate the purchase of a wall-mountable flat panel TV. Whether or not that part will actually work is unknown. When it
does happen -- and it will! -- we're going to also mount curtains on the wall to hide the TV when it's not it use. Ideally, I'd also get W22s and a W100 and keep them behind a(n acoustically transparent) curtain, too.
