If you feel you could handle it, you can always pull the baseboard off, run the wires in the gap between the flooring and the wallboard and then when you get to the point of the speakers, poke a hole through the wallboard(still below top of baseboard to keep it hidden), then fish the tape up to the speaker location. Now you can reinstall the baseboard and all the wiring is hidden.

I did this for some new cable runs for a couple of different rooms.
