I've owned both and they are both great audiophile speakers. The 80's are the top of the line right now, and the 60's are very close. The 80's are a little more detailed and go a little lower. I think most people would be hard pressed to see much difference, unless they are playing at concert levels. \:\)

if you check the graphs for each on the product page you will see how similar performing they are in lab tests. My room is huge and I was totally happy with the 60's as well as my current 80's.
