Sorry I missed your previous posts. This also started happening to me several months ago. At first is was very occasional and only a minor annoyance but now it happens ever couple page changes.

You might also check your DNS resolver settings.

DNS seems to work fine . As near as I can tell once IE7 loads a page It doesn’t have to resolve the IP address again for that site. Tested this by flushing the DNS cashe and then switching between pages successfully on the Axiom site and then displaying the DNS cashe and found nothing there except the loop back interface.

Here’s some of what I’m seeing when the Axiom site slows/hangs.

1. Effects all 3 of my Windows computers XP and Vista running IE7.
2. Does not effect any of my Linux installs one of which is dual boot with XP.
3. Does not effect Firefox that I just loaded on one XP box.
4. Happens when security settings are maxed out or completely turned off including Norton or AVG depending on the machine, Windows firewall off in all cases but Router firewall still up.
5. Does not happen when running in Safe Mode.
6. Happens with or without any browser add-ons enabled.
7. Can still ping http://www.axiomaudio.com while IE7 session is hanging.
8. Once the IE7 hangs it effects all tabs in that browser window accessing that page at Axiom but no effect on other sites even in the same browser window. However, starting a new instance of IE7 allows access to the hanging page on the Axiom site.
9. Happens even with a static IP address for http://www.axiomaudio.com is in the Hosts file and verified it was loaded the DNS cashe.
10. It has gotten worse over the last couple months.
11. Sometimes the page never loads and times out other times it loads but takes minutes.

Summary:
Happens only to IE7 running windows in normal but not safe mode. It effects no other applications/utilities that I can find. Only seems to happen on the Axiom website and no other websites or forums.

Things I’ve tried:
1. Deleted all cookies.
2. Run every virus scan I can think of.
3. Tried with both max and no security settings (except router firewall always on)
4. Alternately turned on and off all browser helper objects.
5. Ran Hijackthis both in normal and safe modes and found nothing suspicious when comparing the logs.
6. Bypassed router and hooked PC directly to modem and it still happened.

Thanks for the feedback. Any other suggestions are welcome and would love to hear from anyone else who has seen this.

Firefox works fine and I’ll just stick with it for now but not being able to figure this out is really bugging me.
