I had the same problem with my Outlaw sub a few years ago. You need to go into the speaker setup in the receiver and adjust the gain higher. Hopefully you currently have it set at 0 or lower. You can adjust it up to around +5 (if +10 is as high as it will go). If you go higher than say 5 out of 10 then you will start introducing distortion into the sub. But, I set mine to around +3 or +4 and it took care of the problem. Then just dial the volume down at the sub to balance things back out at the end. If this doesn't take care of the problem then I would contact Axiom.
