The chair must really cause some bad reflections;\) I would simply move the equipment to either side of the TV and then put the VP100 on the shelf angled slightly downward or just put it on top of the unit and angle it down even more. I have mine mounted a few inches below my ceiling and angled down, it sounds great. The M22s should be fine as they sit but tweaking is part of the hobby.
