The Denon 3310 should have the capability to pass thru the HDMI signal while in standby mode (my Denon 1909 does). This way the TV video and audio come thru without having to power on the AVR.
Check for a setting for 'HDMI control' or something along those lines. Otherwise hook up the STB via component and analog audio to the TV.
