First off, I bought everything site unheard, so I was a bit nervous after hooking it all up. I demoed some Rocket 750's at a friends house, but vocals seemed subduded and I decided that they didn't have enough treble energy.

And then there's the m60's. The vocals, and sound is open and detailed. Even before hooking up my sub, I thought there was enough bass for music (not HT though). I'm very pleased with them.

Here's what I went with:

M60
VP150
QS8
Pioneer Elite 53tx
SVS 20-39 PC Plus

I have the sub crossed over at 50hz and all speakers set to small. 50hz doesn't hit as hard as 80hz, but the bass is low, clean and integrates well. The auto config on the 53tx worked great. The sub's currently at -10 with gain halfway up.

The only thing missing (for me) from the 53tx is video upconversion. For those who don't know, this means you'll have to run component, svideo, and composite video to your tv, if you're routing your video through the receiver and are using all three connectors. Not too big of a hassle, but this means I have to switch video inputs on my tv when switching certain components.
