I've seen the M80's being powered by the Pioneer Elite line with no problems. According to a dealer I was speaking with, the M80's should be powered by almost any receivers. The only caution he gave was that if you're lacking in power, you may get a little distortion. In which case you wouldn't want to play them too loud (or hours of continuous play) to avoid damaging the M80's.

I'm sure there are guys here that can clarify this who have far more knowledge than myself.
