I saw the subject and initially thought you put your own foot through the speaker. I couldn't wait to hear the story behind it.

My guess is that it will be repairable. Cut out a slightly larger hole in a square shape and glue in a perfectly sized replacement block of wood. Move the foot slightly if you are worried about it supporting the weight. I doubt the replacement block required will be big enough to change the tonal resonance of the speaker at all. You can even use the same material if you are really worried.
