I have a pair of M665 towers. They are terrific. The M55s may be among the best speakers for low output tube amps available at anywhere near the price. If you run them with a high power solid state amp/receiver, they will sing!

I use 4 Michaura M55s in my office HT system, and love them. I drive the front pair with a 250 wpc Yamaha M80, and the surround M55s with a 100 wpc Onkyo M282. I've used a pair of M55s with a 5 watt per channel ASL MGS1 15DT tube amp and the combination is pure Single End Triode magic.

The M55s respond very well to tweaks - I've upgraded the x-over with Jensen paper/oil caps and Caddock resistors, damped the already very rigid hex cabinets and the result is superb sound quality. These speakers are also drop-dead gorgeous.

I like 'em.
